Cara Boiler

Cara Boiler is a lifelong New Jersey resident. Cara and her husband moved to Collingswood in 2005 while she was a student at Rutgers, Camden, and her husband was working in Camden. While looking for a home in the area, they fell in love with Colingswood's walkable downtown, town-wide events, tree-lined streets, and the junior safety patrol, where student volunteers helped guide younger students to and from school.

Cara worked as an art consultant, artist, and muralist until the birth of her fourth child. She has since worked independently as an artist.

Cara's children have attended school in Collingswood since 2012. As a child, her school and town promoted community engagement and volunteerism. After the birth of her third child, she took on a PTA board position at Mark Newbie Elementary School and began running the active Mark Newbie Green Team to help her children learn the same spirit of giving back that she learned as a child. Cara has served on the Mark Newbie PTA since 2016, the Collingswood Middle School PTA since 2022, and the Collingswood High School PTA since 2023. In addition to volunteering for the PTA and running its sponsored events, Cara has worked with Collingswood School District administration on Sustainable Jersey for Schools certifications and grants for green space and sustainable initiatives.

Cara's recent work on the Collingswood High School PTA has not only raised her awareness about active listening but also emphasized the importance of finding meaningful ways to represent every member of the community. Her ability to ensure that every voice is heard and valued is a testament to her dedication and commitment. She is grateful for the opportunity to bring this same perspective to the County Committee, further demonstrating her commitment to community engagement.
