Jessica Stokes

Secretary

Jessica is a life-long resident of Collingswood, having grown up and still residing on East Knight Avenue. Jessica is involved locally as a volunteer on the Consolidated Planning Board and as a Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator. She also volunteers at many of the Borough events, including the annual Holiday Parade and Mayfair. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading, attending class and social events at Upcycle Fitness and Social Club, walking and shopping along Haddon Ave, being with family and friends, and pampering her cats, Fitzgerald and Marlowe.

Jessica studied Emergency Management and Geography (Environmental Studies) at Millersville University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in both fields, and a Master’s in Emergency Management. Jessica is also a Certified Emergency Manager with the New Jersey Emergency Management Association and is working toward becoming a Certified Floodplain Manager, with the Association of State Floodplain Managers, and Certified Planner, with the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Currently, Jessica works as a Hazard Mitigation Project Manager. In this role, Jessica blends her knowledge of emergency management, environmental studies, land use planning, and climate change projections to write and manage grants for Hazard Mitigation Projects, lead planning initiatives for Hazard Mitigation Plans across the country, and assist private and public entities identify projects to mitigate risks associated with natural, technological, and human-caused hazards.
